If you missed it you missed a great concert, the Choir were singing on form, our guests the ‘Siren Sisters’ were great, – actually the men in the Choir were at times struggling to concentrate on the singing!  And our Music Maker Trophy winner, pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, was out of this world.  The Choir members and our audience were totally mesmerised by her fantastic playing, this young lady has got to be heading for stardom.  Watch out for her name in years to come.

Rev Howard Ketton did his usual sterling job as compere. – The trouble with being good all the time is that it starts being, well, just expected.  Terry Moore the Choir MD, Roger Holland the Assistant MD and John Sellars the Choir second accompanist all performed well bringing the best out of the Choir. Carlton MVC are so fortunate to have such a talented team behind them.  Although at the time of writing I haven’t yet spoken to Terry, I imagine he will think the performance far from perfect and will have a list of points to be corrected at the next practice.

The Choir are in the process of making a new CD, if you would like your name to be added to the list of those who would like one reserved for when they are ready, please use the ‘contact us’ in the main web pages.
