2018 – The search is on…

The 2018 Music Makers Award information sheet and application form is available to view and download using the link at the bottom of this page.  To express interest or for more information use the contact us link.

The winner must be able to perform on the evening of Saturday 28th April 2018.

From 2012, the award has been made available to music students from across Nottinghamshire. They submit, to a Carlton MVC  panel, a 10 minute video recording and a winner is selected. The  winning student performs a short programme at our Festival Concert in April. They receive not only the trophy, but also a substantial cheque to help them in their studies. (Currently, this is £1000).

This competition has the backing of the Music Support services in the City and the County and we hope that talented musicians will be encouraged to enter by their schools, teachers and parents. Often, a candidate has been encouraged to enter by a music teacher as part of an out of school musical activity, such as playing in an orchestra, or singing in a choir.

Unfortunately there can only be one winner, but with a substantial monetary award to help them, we hope they will continue to develop musically and will go on to achieve success artistically.
