Laura Roberts – The Carlton Male Voice Choir Music Makers Trophy Winner, 2013

Laura holds the 2013 winners trophy

Laura has been in  Cantamus Girls Choir for 7 years (2 years in training choir and 5 years in the main choir) touring the world performing in concerts and winning international competitions. She gives solo recitals and sings at weddings, local concerts and competitive music festivals. Laura is also the winner of the Junior John Ogdon Scholarship given by Mansfield District Council. Last year she sang the premier of three songs composed in 1906 by Eric Coates. The manuscript will soon reside in the Royal Academy of Music where Eric Coates studied. The Society have invited Laura to give three concerts for them in October this year. Laura has gained a place to study music at the Royal Academy of Music London with singing as her main study. She will start the four year course in September this year.
