Sara Lawson, is a Carlton girl who has been singing since she was nine. As well as continuing with her studies, she has been a regular member and soloist with the internationally renowned Cantamus Choir for seven years and has travelled with Cantamus to many countries, taking part in prestigious competitions and music festivals. Sara was also invited to sing at Buxton Opera House and is a winner of the Students Musicians Benevolent Prize. She has performed as a guest at Carlton Male Voice Choir concerts twice since winning the Trophy in 2001. Now 20, Sara is hoping to study opera at a conservatoire. Her home city will watch the development of her career with great interest and we all wish her well for what looks to be a promising career.
